NABET 700 receives a tremendous volume of telephone traffic. Unfortunately, that precludes us from taking as much time with inquiries as everyone would like. It is therefore essential that all applicants adhere to the following guidelines.

Applicants for permittee status must complete NABETiquette, a half-day set etiquette and protocol workshop. The workshop is generally offered once a month, so please call our office to find out about upcoming dates. Due to the current popularity of the film industry, be advised that vacancies for the course fill up quickly, so come into our office and register in advance!

The fee for the course is $100.00, and can be paid by cash (exact) or debit.

Application forms may be picked up at NABETiquette, the NABET office or downloaded from our website (PDF). Please note that some departments have more specific requirements, so please ask about them at NABETiquette.

Applications are accepted during regular business hours at the office. Please have your completed application checked by one of our staff to ensure that it is complete. This will avoid unnecessary processing delays. Completed applications will not be accepted unless a NABETiquette certificate is attached.

Once your application has been received, it must await the approval of the vice-president of the department to which you are applying. We endeavour to process all applications on at least a monthly basis. Sometimes, however, busy work schedules of our VPs lengthen the procedure. Other times word may come after a few weeks.
