CTV Sets Date for “Saving Hope” Series Premiere
March 20th, 2012 - Candence CanadaYeah, it’s March, but summer is fast approaching — heck, with the temperatures we in Toronto have been having, it’s already here — and it’s time to start covering the exciting new things that will be happening this summer TV season.
So, without further adieu, CTV has recently announced that the brand new one-hour medical-drama Saving Hope will premiere Thursday, June 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Shot and set in Toronto, Hope follows Hope-Zion Hospital Chief of Surgery Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks, Stargate Atlantis), fellow surgeon and fiancée Dr. Alex Reid (Erica Durance, Smallville), and star surgeon Dr. Joel Goran (Winnipegger Daniel Gillies, The Vampire Diaries).
When Dr. Harris goes comatose, everyone and everything is affected — while Alex, Joel, and their colleagues scramble to bring Harris back, they must also take on other patients and help bring order back to the shaken hospital.
Meanwhile, in a somewhat supernatural twist, Harris begins wandering the hospital as a spirit, uncertain of his current state.
