Syfy Renews 'Lost Girl' for Third Season
June 5, 2012 - The Hollywood Reporter
Syfy has picked up Canadian import Lost Girl for a third season.
The supernatural series starring Anna Silk (Being Erica) will air the 13-episode season starting in January 2013, meaning stateside viewers will not be left hanging as the drama had previously been renewed in Canada.
The 22-episode second season of Lost Girl will move from its slot on Mondays to Fridays at 10 p.m. starting July 20.
The series has been a solid performer for the network, earning time slot victories among the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic and adults 25-54 slot on Mondays at 10 p.m., averaging 1.64 million total viewers when factoring in Live +7 data.
Rachel Skarsten (The Vow) will recur during Season 3 as a new Succubus; Emmanuelle Vaugier (Covert Affairs) will reprise her role as The Morrigan.
Lost Girl was developed by Prodigy Pictures in association with Shaw Media and Showcase. Syfy picked up the first two seasons of the series in May 2011.
