'Orphan Black' Season 4 Spoilers: Sarah Manning Stars In New Teaser
January 18, 2016 - designntrend
"Orphan Black" season 4 recently dropped a new teaser online.
In the 30-second clip, Tatiana Maslany's Sarah Manning can be heard talking about her new Leda clone sister M.K.
The teaser, which is titled "Down the Rabbit Hole," also gave a first look at the mysterious character who is wearing a Dolly the Sheep mask.
"Burning with curiosity, she ran across the field and down a large rabbit hole. Never once considering how in the world she will get out again," Sarah said.
The next scene showed Helena fighting for her dear life.
"Not a moment to think about stopping herself," Helena said.
"Before she found herself falling," Sarah added.
"She tried to look down and make out what she was coming to..." Cosima said.
"But it was too dark to see," Sarah continued.
"Down, down, down..." the sisters said.
"The only way forward is to go back," Sarah concluded.
Meanwhile, executive producer John Fawcett recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about M.K. He also explained why they decided to make the new clone wear a mask over her head.
"We wanted it to be spooky but kind of childlike at the same time. We wanted a little balance," he said.
Fawcett added that M.K. is an interesting character because she has trust issues. As such, she will find it very difficult to work with her clone sisters even though she's always known that she's one of them.
"She's very paranoid. She's very security conscious. She knows more than Sarah does so she knows how dangerous the whole thing is. She's purposely avoided contact with the sisters to keep herself safe, and Sarah is now trying to draw her out from the shadows," he said.
Catch M.K. and her sisters when "Orphan Black" season 4 episode 1 premieres on BBC America this April.
