The film, directed by Antonio Dikele Distefano, will be playing at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on Tuesday, February 28.

Virtual tables will be created for group conversations. To learn more about this virtual event, click HERE.

Reelworld's Market Ready Initiative

In partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Access Canada, we provide Reelworld participants with training, prep and access to key markets such as Prime Time, Cannes Film Festival, Banff World Media Festival, Content Canada and Content London.

These markets open doors to forge deals, build new relationships that lead to development, and help attendees gain visibility in an industry where who you know matters. READ MORE.

Where to start session

Join us as we partner with NABET 700-M UNIFOR for another great session providing an in-depth understanding of how you can join different below-the-line departments within the screen industry!

On Tuesday, February 21 at 1 PM ET, we are joined by Julian Peters, VP of Set Decoration at NABET and Set Decorator on Hudson & Rex, to explore the different roles and responsibilities in Set Decoration and what a typical day on set looks like. For more information click HERE.

The Reelworld Film Festival Submissions Are Now Open.

Submissions are now open until Feb 25, 2023. We will continue our successful hybrid in-person and virtual programming model for our festival this year. Feature Films or Short Films that are Canadian or Ontario Premieres will screen in competition and be eligible for a cash prize.

Nominate a Change Maker

Each year Reelworld acknowledges individuals in the Canadian media and entertainment industry who are making a difference.

We present the Award of Excellence, the Visionary Award, and six Trailblazer Awards in recognition of their contributions and achievements.

Do you know someone whose contributions have made a difference to the Canadian screen community? Shine a spotlight on extraordinary people by nominating them HERE.

Complete the survey that aligns with your Field of Work

We are looking for industry input to help change the systemic issues regarding stereotypical depictions of Black, Indigenous, Asian, and Women of Colour in Canadian Film and TV.

We want to help create a better and more authentic portrayal of these women on screen. Deadline to complete the survey: February 28.
