International Women's Day 2023
International Women's Day is March 8th. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. 2023’s theme is “Embrace Equity” with the goal of furthering gender equity to create a fair and equal world.
This day is a chance to celebrate women’s accomplishments and our continued efforts to advocate for greater gender equality, each and every day. We are very grateful for the women who fought to get us here. We have come a long way and are grateful for the women who fought to get us here, but there is still work to be done.
With that we must mention the incredible women here at NABET 700-M UNIFOR. Together we continue to support each other, take down barriers, continue to open opportunities in all our departments, therein allowing the growth of our membership while addressing greater gender equality.
NABET-700 M UNIFOR is proud of the work done through the years by our Women's Committee and the Members who have stepped up to Chair the committee, beginning with our very first Chair, Jessica Fulmer, Samantha Little who spearheaded our Women's Committee brochure, Maria Popoff, and our current committee Chairs, Alessandra Faria and Daniela Vicuna.
We also give thanks to our ALLIES who stand beside us with their continuous support. Together we will continue to accomplish great things, always.
