Department Membership Criteria
Permittees in all departments are required to accumulate a minimum of $2000 in Permittee fees as the first step in becoming eligible for Membership.
The departments listed below have the following additional criteria that Permittees will be required to satisfy for membership eligibility:
Continuity
- A passing mark on the Basic Continuity Skills Test. Most Permittees will have passed the Continuity Basic Skills Test as part of their Permittee Application process.
Grip
- A valid Working at Heights certificate.
- A valid Aerial Lift certificate.
Hair
- A valid Ontario Hair License.
- A passing mark on the Hair Trade Test. Hair Trade Tests are scheduled approximately twice per year.
Lighting
- A valid Working at Heights certificate.
- A valid Aerial Lift certificate.
Makeup
- A passing mark on the Makeup Trade Test. Makeup Trade Tests are scheduled approximately twice per year.
Props
- A valid Food Handling certificate.
- Props Permittees must have worked on three (3) different NABET 700-M UNIFOR signatory productions headed by three (3) separate Props Masters.
Transportation
- A valid AZ class driver’s license.
Permittees are notified via email of scheduled Working at Heights, Aerial Lift and Food Handler training that is offered through the Union.
