An effective Crew Rep can make a significant difference in bettering the work lives of their peers.
Crew Reps not only keep the crew informed about Union issues, they may also be required to provide guidance on interpreting the Collective Agreement, or act as representation when there is a dispute or grievance.
NABET 700 UNIFOR has designed a course to provide potential Crew Reps with all of the skills they’ll need to perform their role more effectively.
You’ll learn how to:
- Build unity in the workplace
- Handle a complaint vs. a grievance
- Think strategically about protecting workers’ rights
- Develop listening skills
- Provide guidance on interpreting the Collective Agreement
- Recognize the importance of the role of the Crew Rep in the Union
Best of all, this informative course is completely FREE for all NABET 700 UNIFOR members.

BONUS! Participants in the Crew Rep training are eligible to enroll for FREE in the Supervisor Health & Safety course on Sunday, March 8th. This course is recommended for potential Crew Reps in order to expand your knowledge of how to handle any health & safety issues that may arise on set.
