St. John Ambulance: Standard First Aid CPR C + AED

Ongoing

(For NABET Members and Permittees holders only. Please see St. John's Ambulance if not.)

NABET has partnered with St. John's Ambulance to make it more convenient for you to get your CPR & First Aid certification.

This course is for individuals who require more comprehensive information on first aid and CPR for the workplace or personal interest reasons. This interactive program includes CPR training for adults, infants and children, as well as 2-person CPR life-saving techniques that are uncomplicated and easy to learn. When coupled with an automated external defibrillator (AED), CPR dramatically increases the chances of survival from heart attacks.

Knowing CPR means you have learned a vital link in the Chain of Survival™ for casualties of drowning, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest until full care can be provided in a hospital.

If you are interested in acquiring this certificate, please see the details below:

There are now 2 options available to complete your First Aid Training.

2-Day In Class Training
In order to allow for physical distancing, St. Johns Ambulance will be reducing its class capacity.  St. Johns Ambulance is diligently reviewing and updating all health and safety protocols in its classrooms, including reviewing the teaching methodology. You can reach your local St. John Ambulance Branch if you have an urgent matter.

Blended Learning Online/Practical Option
St. John Ambulance is proud to be the first health and safety organization in Ontario to offer WSIB approved Blended Learning Solutions in first aid, CPR & AED training.

From the comfort of your own home, participants can complete all the theory online aided by interactive tutorials, enhanced graphics and animations, and then test their knowledge against a series of online quizzes. The theory portion is made up of 18 modules in total. Each module takes around 30-45mins to complete.

Once the online portion has been successfully completed, participants must complete the practical component with the assistance of their local St. John Ambulance branch to receive their certificate. The practical portion consists of an intensive 1-day in class training session from 9am-5pm.

Please note the practical portion must be completed within 90 days of the date the individual finishes their online modules in order to receive the Standard First Aid CPR C + AED Certification. However, if the restrictions due to COVID-19 persist the individual will be notified if their selected class date has to be cancelled and a new date will need to be chosen. St. John Ambulance acknowledges if this persists and goes beyond the individual's 90 day requirement for completion they will offer a short extension to allow the participant to attend their practical session when feasible and safe.

Please note that this version of the course is now offered at multiple St. John’s locations

For both options,  you can register and receive your certification in 4 easy steps:
