Working at Heights Course

Beginning April 1, 2015, the Ministry of Labour requires that anyone who works above 10 feet must acquire approved Working at Heights training. This certification will be valid for three years* from the date the training is completed. 

NABET 700 UNIFOR is now officially able to offer the new Ministry of Labour-approved course.

The objective of this training will be to provide film industry specific guidance related to overall safety considerations when working at heights. Course content will include the following:

  • Review of legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Review of roles and responsibilities
  • Safe Work Practices in Film and Television
  • Ladder Safety, Scaffolds and Lifts
  • Rescue Safety; Emergency Rescue plan
  • Practical application 

This course is required for anyone working at heights.

If you are interested in taking this course please register with NABET 700 UNIFOR reception, either over the phone with a credit card or in person with a cheque, debit, cash (exact change) or credit card. You must pay in order to secure your spot in the course.

*If you have completed Fall Protection training previous to April 1, 2015, you will have a grace period of 2 years (until April 1, 2017) to get re-certified under the new standards.
