Working at Heights - Refresher Course - May 16, 2021

Maximum Class Size: 10 spots available per session


It is now the LAW and a requirement of the Ministry of Labour that you have a valid Working at Heights certification in order to work above 10 feet, even if it's only occasionally. This certification is required to be renewed every three (3) years, regardless of whether or not your card has an expiration date.

Anyone working above 10 feet without a valid certification is at risk of being heavily fined by an inspector.

The NABET 700-M UNIFOR office will be offering Working at Heights refresher courses off-site on the following date:

Morning Session: 8am - 12noon
Afternoon Session: 1:30pm - 5:30pm

Please note the refresher course is only for participants that have completed this training in the past and are needing to renew their certificate only. Working at Heights certification needs to be renewed every (3) three years.

The objective of this training will be to provide film industry specific guidance related to overall safety considerations when working at heights.

As a part of Worksite Safety and Compliance Centre's COVID-19 safety measures, each participant will need to bring the following equipment with them:

• Harness
• Safety Work Boots
• Face Mask

Should you need to make your payment via debit or cash (exact change) you will be required to make an appointment, at least one day in advance, to visit the office.
