Women's Representative Training Course

As per the Collective Agreement, the Women's Representative is a specifically trained representative who assists women with concerns such as violence and harassment. This individual acts in adherence with company policies and procedures, and provides support for women seeing workplace and community resources, but is not a counsellor. The Women's Representative may also assist others dealing with similar issues.
Those who are interested in being an on set Women’s Representative are required to complete this course before they can assume the role. Any person who identifies as a woman or has a gender identity other than cis* man may fill the role.
*Cis-gender: denoting or relating to a person whose sense of personal identity and gender corresponds with their sex assigned at birth.
This training will cover the law surrounding workplace harassment and provide an in-depth review of the roles and responsibilities of the on set Women’s Representative in order to equip you with the skills and abilities to complete intake regarding workplace harassment complaints.
Members who've already completed this training are welcome to attend if they would like a refresher. Advance registration required by Monday, May 15, 2023 for all participants.
